Leaves are a constantly recurring theme in Leslie's art. It began while she lived under an old bur oak tree
in Guelph. This tree was a wee sapling when Guelph was just being founded. Leslie enjoyed a cool house
on the hottest summer days because of the big bur oak.

Leslie has moved away from under the big bur oak. She wondered if her art would stop being about leaves if she
was not living under that tree. So far there has not been a change.

Leslie is a graduate of the fine art program at the U. of Guelph. She teaches adult evening courses, Beginning to Draw
and Life Drawing, for the City of Guelph.
