Annette has been an avid photographer for over twenty years. Her photography has evolved from documenting family, pets, and gardens to capturing images with an artistic perspective. Seeking the right light to match a unique composition, dramatic textures, and patterns from nature is the essence and challenge of Annette’s work.

Annette has recently retired from public service, and is able to devote her time exclusively to develop her craft in photographic art. She has completed the advance photography course from Conestoga College and is a member of the Canadian Association of Photographic Art, (CAPA), attending Camera College 2000 at UBC.

FRESHWATER BEACH
This was one of a series of photos taken at Freshwater Beach, Newfoundland. I loved the contrast of smooth rock and angular metal.

NEWFOUNDLAND COLOURED ROCK
I was struck by the myriad of colour, light and round shapes of the contrasting white rocks in the foreground.

PAINTED HOUSE, PICKET FENCE AND CLOTHESLINE
The three elements of house, fence and clothesline framed each other into what is a typical scene in St. John's Newfoundland.

NEWFOUNDLAND MARSH
The nice green, blue and gold lit grasses formed a pleasing compostion.

YOUNG WINTER TREE
The delicate lines of this young tree embedded in the vertical lines of other new trees against the snowing background provide natural artistry.

FALL ROSE LEAVES
The rich colour and texture of fallen rose leaves and rose hip nestled around a rock step form a delightful compostion.
